Andrew Straw, Republican Candidate
U.S. House of Representatives, Illinois, District 8

Honor to God

Job Creation - Job creation is our top priority. The public relies on Congress to control government and promote private job growth.

Education Focus - kids need strong schools with good teachers and adequate resources.  College students need solid financial aid and loans to encourage excellence.

Disability Rights Lawyer - I will lead in the House for people with disabilities, including children and adults.

Women & Children - Invented National Database of Protective Orders for Domestic Violence Victims (Harvard Recognized)

Pro-Life, Small (Efficient) Government

Tax Reform for job growth and to reduce fraud.  Shift to sales and use taxes.  Start with a 1% national sales tax and reduce income tax by that $75 billion.  Lift the 0% tax rate first so millions of low-income people don't have to file returns and reveal their private information.

Environment - Teddy Roosevelt Republican

Gun Ownership - the civil right that protects the other civil rights

"Education is the way to better jobs and incomes.  With a master's degree in Education, I understand immigrants need English skills for success.  My own children are bilingual in English & Italian.

I worked to create jobs with the transportation planner who designed our Interstate Highway System and the Metro in our nation's capital.  The 8th District has great potential for job growth with common sense in government." - Andrew Straw

"Providing access creates jobs.  Federal funding is available to
make every business accessible.  That's millions of dollars for the 8th District renewable every year."
- Andrew Straw
